We're always looking for a bite to eat after visiting Rose Hills, but we were sad to discover our favorite Phoenix Food Boutique location in YES Plaza had permanently closed. Thanks to our handy-dandy Yelp app, we were able to find a sister restaurant nearby in City of Industry. The menu was similar but there seemed to be more of a focus on sweet items than savory. We started with Spicy Salt Chicken Wings and moved on to Yeung Chow Fried Rice, Hong Kong Rice Noodles w/Beef and Water Spinach with Minced Garlic. Every dish was equally as tasty as our former favorite location with the exception of the Hong Kong Rice Noodles which was not as flavorful (aka lacking grease). Service was decent, and we're pleased to have found a replacement for our go-to Phoenix Food Boutique.

I've always come to Phoenix for their great desserts but I finally came for the food. I got beef chow fun, seafood udon noodles, and salt and pepper chicken wings. All were decent. I probably wouldn't get the udon noodles again bc they were too fishy and didn't have enough shrimp. I can't comment on the service so much because I ordered take out, but it was very quick for ordering through yelp! The ambiance was nice and chill when I went inside. Definitely will try going back to experience in-person dining!

Best Durian dessert I've ever had and I'm a white boy. 85° doesn't even come close. Also great Mochi and the Hainan chicken.

Woot-Woot to Phoenix Food Court on showing promotional items for Lunar New Year. The marketing signage drew me in for sure! This is a chain restaurant and it's boutique locations menu lost its appeal or popularity declined since it's height in the mid-90s (e.g. its first store opened in Chinatown) Today, I am giving a 5-Stars, for the quick counter service, friendly staff but most importantly the offering of several quintessential treats-- abalone and nai gau to ring in the lunar New Year. Nai Gau, a glutinous sweet rice cake, thought to bring prosperity in the Lunar New Year. This desert treat is a tradition to eat for my family-- grandma used to make it, then my dad modified with his own ingredients and now I rely on local Chinese bakery! I was pleasantly impressed and surprised to find CNY specialties at Phoenix Boutique. I quickly bought one to not break tradition and looking forward to slicing and frying it up!
